About Us

James J. Macco founded Macco’s Carpet Warehouse in August of 1976 at 1623 Main Street in Green Bay. By April of 1978 a second location in Sheboygan was opened; followed by a third, in Marinette in 1980. Our fourth location was opened in Appleton in 1987. In 1994, Macco’s acquired our fifth location in Schofield. In 2001 we opened our 6th location in Sturgeon Bay, and in 2003 we added our Commercial division.

In 1985 the company name was changed to Macco’s Floor Covering Center. More than just a name change; it represented a major shift in targeted market. As Macco’s Carpet Warehouse, the market was the cash and carry lower quality carpets and vinyl floor covering. Today, Macco’s Floor Covering Center stores targets all markets, from lower end cash and carry to middle and high-end markets, featuring not only carpet and vinyl, but also, ceramic tile, marble, area rugs, hardwood and laminate flooring.
